Trust & Privacy

How we handle your data.

This page is maintained by Chaanakya Capital to answer common security and privacy questions about Chaanakya Live. It describes current product controls and practices — it is not an independent certification or audit report.

Who can sign in

Chaanakya Live has two audiences: presenters/admins who run an event, and attendees who join a live session. Attendees sign in with email and password (or Google) to record their responses under their own identity. Presenter and admin access is restricted to invited Chaanakya Capital staff via an internal role table — roles are stored server-side, never derived from anything the browser sends.

What we collect

For each attendee: name, email, optional phone, and the responses you submit during a session. For each event: the questions, media, and aggregated responses created by the presenter.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

Access controls

Every data table enforces row-level security in the database. Attendees can read and write only their own responses and profile; presenters can read aggregated event data for events they administer. Correct answers for trivia-style questions are stored in a separate table that is unreadable to attendees until the presenter reveals the question.

Privileged actions (publishing questions, exporting results, granting admin roles) run server-side and re-verify the caller's role on every request.

Hosting & platform

Chaanakya Live runs on Lovable Cloud, which uses Supabase for authentication, database, and file storage, and Cloudflare for edge delivery. Data in transit is protected by TLS. Database traffic is authenticated with per-request bearer tokens.

Logos shown on the join page and images attached to questions are served from public storage buckets so they render directly in attendee browsers during live events. No private documents are stored in those buckets.

Retention & deletion

Event data is retained for as long as the organising team needs it for reporting. To request deletion of your attendee account or responses, contact us using the address below and reference the event you joined.

Reporting a security issue

If you believe you have found a vulnerability or a privacy issue, please email security@chaanakyacapital.com with steps to reproduce. We aim to acknowledge reports within a few business days.
